Jakarta, Aug. 17 -- Indonesia is seeking to make its creative economy a key growth engine as the government targets 6 percent economic growth in 2027, Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya said Monday.

The effort is supported by the 2026-2045 Creative Economy Master Plan, known as Rindekraf, established under Presidential Regulation No. 37/2026.

"Rindekraf provides a clear roadmap for the creative economy to become a new engine of national growth," Harsya said in a statement.

The plan aims to turn creativity, intellectual property, talent and regional potential into productive economic activity, he said.
