Jakarta, Sept. 21 -- Primary and Secondary Education Minister Abdul Mu'ti reaffirmed his ministry's commitment to restoring education in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) following a recent earthquake by revitalizing 1,487 schools across the province.

"Regarding our commitment to disaster-affected areas in NTT, we will revitalize 1,487 educational institutions in NTT alone," the minister said during a working meeting with the House of Representatives (DPR) Commission X in Jakarta on Monday.

He emphasized that the ministry is determined to carry out the program as effectively as possible.

The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has previously allocated Rp1.2 trillion (around US$67 million) for the revitalization initiative in NTT.
