Jakarta, March 14 -- Indonesia will investigate alleged illegal levies linked to a government-run free sea homecoming program at Nusantara Port in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, Deputy Transportation Minister Suntana said on Saturday.
"We will look into it later," Suntana said when asked about reports of unlawful charges in the program.
The alleged practice occurred in the free sea transport service operating on the Kendari-Muna-Baubau shipping route.
The government launched the program to help people travel home during the Eid al-Fitr holiday by providing free transportation across several modes.
