Surabaya, East Java, March 24 -- Indonesian Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf said Tuesday that the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage schedule remains on track despite rising tensions between United States and Iran.
"As of now, everything is still on schedule. Hopefully, there will be no changes leading up to the first departure on April 22," he said in Surabaya.
He confirmed that preparations for Indonesian pilgrims are proceeding smoothly, with accommodation, transportation, and other services fully organized and operational ahead of departures.
Minister Yusuf added that funding for the pilgrimage has been secured and meets all expected requirements.
