Jakarta, May 29 -- French President Emmanuel Macron reaffirmed his commitment to strengthen its strategic relationship with Indonesia into a global partnership in various sectors.

In a joint statement, during the Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto's state visit to the Elysee Palace in Paris on Thursday (May 28), Macron considered Indonesia as an important strategic partner for France in the Indo-Pacific region.

"Indonesia is an important strategic partner in the Indo-Pacific and I am believe it is also part of Mr. Prabowo's conviction," Macron said as quoted in Jakarta, Friday.
