RI explores Chinese, Russian investment for Trans-Kalimantan railway
Jakarta, Aug. 7 -- The Indonesian government is exploring potential domestic and foreign investments, including from Russia and China, for the construction of the Trans-Kalimantan railway network, Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi said.
The move follows President Prabowo Subianto's directive to the Ministry of Transportation and state rail operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) to fast-track railway network development in Sumatra (Trans-Sumatra) and Kalimantan (Trans-Kalimantan).
