Jakarta, June 25 -- The Indonesian government has ensured that the country's energy transition moves in tandem with environmental protection, ecosystem sustainability, and safeguards for affected workers.

In a statement received in Jakarta on Thursday, Minister of Environment Jumhur Hidayat said the transformation toward clean energy must be carried out responsibly to drive economic growth without overlooking environmental aspects or worker welfare.

This, he continued, is part of efforts to realize sustainable development in the country.
