RI doubles target for schools receiving internet access in 2026
Jakarta, July 2 -- Indonesian government aims to provide internet access to 16,557 educational institutions in 2026, nearly doubling its 2025 target of 8,265 schools as part of efforts to accelerate digital learning nationwide.
Muhammad Qodari, head of the Government Communications Agency (Bakom), said the expansion of internet connectivity is intended to support the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education's Digital Learning Programme.
"In terms of internet connectivity to support the Digital Learning Programme, a number of 8,265 schools were targeted to receive internet access in 2025.
