Jakarta, Sept. 2 -- Indonesia's Manpower Minister Yassierli said the government is committed to preparing the competencies of Indonesian human resources as it aims to create 3.49 million new jobs in 2027.

National Internship and National Vocational Training programmes, Yassierli said, become the government's two strategic initiatives to reach the goal.

"We have internship and vocational training programmes and we are continuously working to align industry needs with these programmes. So, in terms of workforce preparation, those are our two major focus areas," Yassierli told the press at the Parliamentary Building in Jakarta on Wednesday.
