RI allocates Rp5.9 trillion for MagangHub and vocational training
Jakarta, July 29 -- The Indonesian government has allocated an additional budget of Rp5.9 trillion (US$317 million) in strengthening the 2026 National Internship Programme (MagangHub) and vocational training to improve the competence and competitiveness of the Indonesian workforce.
"The national internship programme received additional funding of Rp4.2 trillion (US$225.9 million), and the vocational training received additional funding of Rp1.7 trillion (US$91 million)," the Minister of Manpower Yassierli said on Tuesday (July 29).
The government is targeting 300,000 participants in vocational training, with programmes ranging from various conventional skills, such as welding, mechanic skills, air conditioning repair, and electronics.
