Jakarta, Sept. 17 -- Indonesia expects to place managers at Red and White Village Cooperatives (KDKMP) next week after issuing appointment decrees, Cooperatives Minister Ferry Juliantono said.

Ferry said 28,626 KDKMP managers had been recruited. The appointment decrees will be issued after a presidential regulation governing KDKMP is promulgated.

"The appointment decrees, including salaries, allowances and other provisions, will be issued within the next one or two days," Ferry told a House Commission VI working meeting in Jakarta on Thursday.

The managers could not previously be placed because the government was awaiting the presidential regulation, which, among other provisions, sets their salaries and allowances, he said.
