Surabaya, East Java, Nov. 3 -- State-owned shipbuilder PT PAL Indonesia and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) strengthen domestic maritime technology through clean energy propulsion research for the Indonesian Warship (KRI) Sriwijaya-100 to support defense technology self-reliance.

PT PAL Indonesia Production Director Diana Rosa said here on Tuesday that industry involvement in research is important so that findings can be applied to meet national technology needs.

"For us, research results must be transformed into applicable technology that meets industry needs," Rosa said.
