Badung, Bali, Oct. 10 -- Press Council Chair Komaruddin Hidayat urges stronger solidarity among journalists in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region to face technological change and the era of digital platform dominance in the information ecosystem.

At the ASEAN Forum on the Protection of Journalistic Works in the Copyright Regime in the Digital Era in Tuban, Bali, on Saturday, Hidayat said ASEAN countries have diverse languages, cultures, political systems, histories, and traditions.

Even so, countries in the region face shared challenges in maintaining journalism's public value amid technological change.
