Denpasar, April 17 -- President Prabowo Subianto called on the Indonesian Hindu community to mark the 2026 Dharma Santi, which follows the observance of Nyepi (Silence Day), as a moment to foster forgiveness and unity.
"Dharma Santi serves as a moment to forgive each other, strengthen brotherhood, and uphold the values of dharma (virtue) in our lives," he remarked in a video speech broadcast during a national Dharma Santi event in Denpasar, Bali, on Friday.
He urged Indonesian Hindus to move forward in harmony, peace, and unity after performing Nyepi rituals.
The president then drew on the scriptural dictum Tat Tvam Asi, widely interpreted by Indonesian Hindus as a philosophical expression that encourages mutual respect.
