Jakarta, June 24 -- President Prabowo Subianto decided that the official logo for Indonesia's 81st anniversary celebration will be selected through a public vote, according to Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya.

Speaking at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, Harsya said the Creative Economy Ministry, in collaboration with the Indonesian Graphic Design Association (ADGI), had curated 124 logo submissions and shortlisted five designs for a public vote through a dedicated website.

"The established practice was narrowing down the top five designs to three, which would then be chosen by the president. This time, however, he wants the public to choose among the final five," Harsya told ANTARA at a press conference.
