Jakarta, May 16 -- President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated the operation of 1,061 Red and White Village/Sub-district Cooperatives (KDKMP), part of the government's efforts to strengthen the people's economy.

During the inauguration in Nganjuk District, East Java, on Saturday, the president said that KDKMPs had been prepared and that physical construction had begun in thousands of locations since November last year.

"This afternoon, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, I hereby inaugurate the operation of 1,061 Red and White Village and Sub-district Cooperatives," Prabowo stated before pressing the inauguration button.
