Jakarta, March 23 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto held phone calls with leaders of several Muslim-majority countries on the occasion of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr, according to Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

When contacted from Jakarta on Monday, Wijaya said the president reached out to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Saudi Arabian Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and King Abdullah II of Jordan.

He noted that Prabowo made the calls after concluding his Eid al-Fitr agenda, which included spending the last night of Ramadan in Medan City, North Sumatra, on Friday (March 20) and performing Eid prayer in Aceh Tamiang District, Aceh, the next morning.
