Jakarta, June 23 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has departed for East Java Province for an official trip featuring ceremonial activities, including infrastructure inaugurations and two national-level religious events.

The Presidential Secretariat said in a statement that Prabowo, accompanied by a limited delegation, took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in East Jakarta around 9 a.m. local time. He is scheduled to spend one day in East Java.

He is set to begin the tour with a visit to Sampang District on Madura Island, where he is expected to symbolically inaugurate 1,151 kilometers of road sections built across various regions nationwide under a program governed by the Presidential Instruction on Regional Roads.
