Jakarta, June 1 -- President Prabowo Subianto welcomed Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan bin Ali Al-Thani at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Monday.

According to an official statement on Monday, Sheikh Saoud conveyed a special message from Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to President Prabowo during the meeting.

The meeting, held in the presidential office at Merdeka Palace, took place behind closed doors. The Palace also did not disclose the specific message from the Qatari Emir to President Prabowo.
