Prabowo warns of cyber warfare as Indonesia swears in new officers
Jakarta, July 22 -- President Prabowo Subianto called on newly commissioned military and police officers on Wednesday to master artificial intelligence and cyber technology, warning that modern national threats extend far beyond traditional warfare.
Speaking at the 2026 officer commissioning ceremony at the Merdeka Palace, Prabowo urged the 1,177 graduates of the Indonesian Military (TNI) and National Police (Polri) to prepare for an increasingly complex global security landscape.
"The world is changing very rapidly, and competition among nations is becoming increasingly intense," Prabowo told the newly appointed officers.
