Jakarta, March 2 -- President Prabowo Subianto has instructed Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan to keep the prices of basic commodities from increasing during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

In this regard, Prabowo instructed Hasan to travel directly to various regions to inspect food availability and ensure that food and basic commodity prices remain affordable for the public.

"Basic commodities during this Ramadan and Eid period must be available, affordable, and the prices must not rise," Hasan said, outlining the President's instructions after a meeting in Jakarta on Monday.
