Prabowo urges Polri to protect free expression, defend justice
Jakarta, July 1 -- President Prabowo Subianto reminded the National Police (Polri) of its responsibility to safeguard democratic principles in Indonesia and protect the rights of citizens to peacefully express their opinions.
Addressing a ceremony marking Polri's 80th anniversary in Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday, he emphasized that the government views public criticism, suggestions, and input as essential elements of democracy while underscoring the need to maintain public order.
