Jakarta, April 12 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is set to travel to Moscow this week for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin to serve national interests.
Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono described the forthcoming visit as a strategic agenda and confirmed he plans to accompany the president.
"The departure is scheduled for this week. The visit is of chief strategic value for the Indonesian nation, as he (Prabowo) will meet with President Putin," he told the press in Jakarta on Saturday, April 11, without specifying the flight date.
The minister underscored that the Moscow summit would address a range of issues of mutual concern including recent geopolitical dynamics.
