Jakarta, Aug. 20 -- President Prabowo Subianto thanked members of Indonesia's National Flag-Raising Team (Paskibraka) for their dedication during the 81st Independence Day ceremony at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on August 17.

Prabowo conveyed his appreciation through a post on his official Instagram account Wednesday evening, thanking the team for carrying out their ceremonial duties during the celebrations.

"Thank you for your dedication and service to the nation and state," Prabowo said in the post.

He said the team had performed an honorable duty by raising the Red and White, symbolizing Indonesia's struggle, unity and sovereignty.
