Jakarta, July 17 -- President Prabowo Subianto has revealed that Indonesia will soon have a national electric motorcycle as part of efforts to strengthen the domestic automotive industry while promoting the use of environmentally friendly vehicles.

In his speech at the "TNI (Indonesian Military) Harvest Festival in Support of the Food Security Program" at Abdulrachman Saleh Air Force Base, Malang, East Java, on Friday, Prabowo said the launch of the national electric motorcycle would take place within the next few weeks.

"Soon, we will have a national motorcycle. I will launch the national electric motorcycle in the next few weeks," Prabowo said, as monitored through a broadcast by the Presidential Secretariat.
