Jakarta, June 10 -- President Prabowo Subianto dismissed claims that his administration is hostile to foreign investors, saying Indonesia remains open to international capital and is seeing strong investment interest across sectors.

"Some say Prabowo dislikes foreign investors and will drive them away, but that is not the case. I have met many investors planning to enter Indonesia," he told the 18th National Conference of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) in Bandar Lampung on Wednesday.

The remarks were aimed at addressing speculation over the direction of the government's investment policy.
