Jakarta, April 8 -- President Prabowo Subianto has assessed that Indonesia is in a better situation compared to other nations amid the crisis in the Middle East, which has driven up global energy prices.

"What we are experiencing now, the crisis in the Middle East that has pushed energy prices higher, is something we should recognize and be grateful for, as our nation's condition is far better than that of other countries," he said during a cabinet meeting here on Wednesday.

Prabowo said that based on data and reports he received from his ministers, domestic conditions remain relatively secure, although challenges and difficulties persist.
