Jakarta, Aug. 14 -- President Prabowo Subianto highlighted the government's plan to use data collected by Statistics Indonesia (BPS) through the 2026 Economic Census as the primary reference for policymaking and budgeting to improve accuracy and efficiency.

In his speech on the 2027 Draft State Budget and Financial Note on Friday in Jakarta, he underscored the urgency of updating Indonesia's method for calculating economic activity after more than years without rebasing.
