Jakarta, May 16 -- President Prabowo Subianto said 1,061 Red and White village cooperatives became operational within seven months, calling the rollout a milestone in strengthening Indonesia's rural economy.

"The physical construction started around November 2025 until now, meaning about seven months. In that time, we operationalized 1,061 cooperatives," Prabowo said in Nganjuk, East Java, on Saturday.

Prabowo said the village cooperatives were equipped with buildings, warehouses, digital systems, logistics facilities and transport vehicles, including trucks, pickup cars and three-wheeled units.
