Prabowo's Husein Airport revival plan gains Air Force support
Bandung, June 1 -- The Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) voiced support for the government's plan to reactivate Husein Sastranegara Airport-which hosts an air base-in Bandung, West Java, as a facility handling large-scale commercial flight operations.
"We from Husein Sastranegara Air Base welcome every positive step toward progress for Bandung City and West Java. Regarding our readiness, we are well prepared to support the opening of the facility any time," Air Base Commander Air Commodore Irman Fathurrahman said.
Speaking in Bandung on Monday, he noted that the airport's infrastructure remains capable of accommodating large commercial jets, including those manufactured by Boeing and Airbus.
