Banda Aceh, Aceh, March 17 -- President Prabowo Subianto provided meat assistance for the meugang tradition to disaster-affected communities in Aceh ahead of Eid al-Fitr, marking the second such distribution after a previous one delivered prior to the Ramadan month.

"This is a real form of the central government's concern for the people of Aceh, especially as some residents are facing the impacts of hydrometeorological disasters," Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf said here on Tuesday.

Prior to the fasting month, President Prabowo allocated Rp72.7 billion in meat assistance for Aceh, and the same amount has been provided again ahead of Eid.
