Jakarta, April 2 -- President Prabowo Subianto applauded the work of Sugianto, an Indonesian migrant worker from Indramayu, West Java, who saved seven elderly people from a forest fire in Yeongdeok, South Korea, in March 2025.

According to an official statement from the Government Communications Agency on Thursday, Prabowo proudly met Sugianto at a state luncheon held at South Korea's Presidential Palace, Cheong Wa Dae (Blue House), on Wednesday (April 1).

He received the honor of being invited by South Korean President Lee Jae Myun to host Prabowo and the visiting delegation.
