Jakarta, March 13 -- President Prabowo Subianto has directed Indonesia's armed forces and police to mobilize ships and other assets to ease the massive flow of travelers during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming season.

"Maybe the Navy and the Army have ships that can be mobilized in coordination with the transportation minister," Prabowo said at a plenary meeting of the Red and White Cabinet on Friday at the State Palace in Jakarta.

He instructed both TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to contribute resources, noting: "I think the Polri, too, has assets and facilities that can be used for this purpose."
