Jakarta, Oct. 1 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday appointed Energy Minister Bahlil Lahadalia as Coordinating Minister for Downstreaming and Energy Transition, a new cabinet post created on September 30.

Bahlil will concurrently retain his position as Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources.

He was sworn in at the State Palace under Presidential Decree No. 104/P of 2026, signed by Prabowo on September 30 to restructure the Red and White Cabinet for 2024-2029.

"I will remain loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and faithfully uphold all laws and regulations," Bahlil said during his oath of office administered by Prabowo.
