Jakarta, June 15 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has invited the German government to play a more active role in international diplomacy to ensure global peace and stability amid growing uncertainty.

"President Steinmeier and I agree that all conflicts must be resolved through negotiation. We are working together in the diplomatic arena to promote and ensure global peace and stability," Prabowo said.

This was conveyed by the president during a joint press statement while receiving German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Monday.

Prabowo emphasized that strengthening and sustaining the partnership between Indonesia and Germany is now a top priority for his administration.
