Jakarta, May 29 -- President Prabowo Subianto initiated the expansion of French language learning at all levels of education in Indonesia as part of strengthening educational cooperation with France.

He conveyed this in his remarks at a bilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace in Paris, France, on Thursday (May 28) local time.

"We aim to strengthen education. I have instructed that all levels of Indonesian schools must learn French language, considering the global development in the future," he remarked in an online broadcast in the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel on Thursday.
