Beijing, Aug. 22 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto hosted Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Defense Minister Dong Jun in Jakarta on Friday to deepen bilateral relations, following high-level strategic talks earlier that day.

The ministers visited Prabowo after attending the inaugural Comprehensive Strategic Dialogue and the second 2+2 meeting with Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono and Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin.

China's Foreign Ministry said on Saturday that Prabowo asked Wang to convey his best wishes to Chinese President Xi Jinping and praised their morning discussions.
