Jakarta, July 8 -- President Prabowo Subianto highlighted the close relationship between Indonesia and India, saying the two countries have shared centuries of historical, civilizational, and cultural ties.

He made the statement on Tuesday (July 7) during a reception with the Indian community in Jakarta, an event also attended by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In his remarks, Prabowo said Indonesia has long maintained close historical ties with India. This, he noted, reflects Indonesia's longstanding practice of learning from and adopting many positive aspects of Indian civilization.
