Jakarta, June 10 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto said the government has distributed nearly 1,000 units of modern medical equipment to regional hospitals as part of a national healthcare modernization program.

Speaking during the inauguration of the KH Muhammad Thohir Regional General Hospital in Krui, Pesisir Barat, Lampung, on Wednesday, Prabowo said the equipment had begun to be distributed to regional hospitals in all 514 districts and cities nationwide.

"The government is implementing a national healthcare modernization program. We have distributed nearly 1,000 units of modern medical equipment. Distribution has begun to all regional hospitals in 514 districts and cities," he said.
