Jakarta, June 19 -- President Prabowo Subianto has emphasized the strategic role of the State-Owned Banks Association (Himbara) in strengthening the national economy through key government initiatives, including the implementation of a new one-stop export system.

Under the policy, export foreign exchange earnings will be managed centrally through PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) and channeled through the state-owned banking network.

Following a meeting with executives of state-owned banks at the Presidential Palace on Thursday (June 18), Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the government expects Himbara to play a greater role in driving economic growth.
