Jakarta, Sept. 16 -- President Prabowo Subianto has reaffirmed the critical need to build a Giant Sea Wall along Java's North Coast to protect coastal populations and national economic activities from growing environmental threats.

Speaking on the broadcast program Presiden Prabowo Menjawab (President Prabowo Answers) in Jakarta on Wednesday, Prabowo highlighted that Java's North Coast hosts a heavy concentration of industrial hubs, making dedicated coastal protection infrastructure essential.

"It is vital because a vast number of our industries are located on Java's North Coast. So, we need coastal embankments, sea walls, and breakwaters," President Prabowo said.
