Jakarta, March 23 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto held a series of high-level phone calls with global leaders to mark Eid al-Fitr, reinforcing bilateral ties and Indonesia's commitment to Islamic world unity, an official said.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya confirmed on Monday that the President reached out to several counterparts, including Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

"These engagements are part of the President's efforts to maintain close relations and accelerate international cooperation, particularly during the meaningful occasion of Eid al-Fitr," Wijaya stated.
