Jakarta, April 11 -- President Prabowo Subianto has decided to conclude his multi-decade tenure as general chairperson of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Pencak Silat Association (PB IPSI).

He explained that the decision was made because his current responsibilities as President of Indonesia are time-consuming, making it impossible for him to effectively carry out his duties as the general chairperson of PB IPSI.

"Today, I am announcing that I will not continue as the general chairperson of PB IPSI, as I have now taken on national duties that require my full time and attention," he said at the association's national congress in Jakarta on Saturday.
