Jakarta, April 9 -- President Prabowo Subianto expressed optimism that Indonesia is emerging as a "rising giant," citing strong foundations and abundant natural resources.

"This giant is waking up. We will not be the sleeping giant anymore; we are rising," he said while inaugurating an electric commercial vehicle assembly plant in Magelang, Central Java, on Thursday.

"Indonesia's outlook is bright. We are strong and becoming stronger; our growth is good," he added.
