Jakarta, Oct. 7 -- President Prabowo Subianto briefed 800 senior military and police officers on national developments and challenges at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Wednesday.

According to the Presidential Secretariat, Prabowo said the meeting was intended to provide an overview of the challenges and conditions currently facing Indonesia as his administration approaches its two-year mark on October 20.

"I deliberately invited senior officers here ahead of the second anniversary of my administration. I want to present an overview of the conditions we are facing as a nation and as a state," he said.
