Jakarta, July 6 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto said he had appointed sovereign wealth fund Danantara to implement the deal on electricity trade agreed with Singapore last year.

"Indonesia has assigned Danantara Investment Management Agency to implement the cross-border electricity trade cooperation. The agency is also entrusted with handling future trade activities," he remarked at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Monday.

Prabowo made the announcement while issuing a joint statement with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong during the annual Leaders' Retreat, which produced 26 documents of government-to-government and business-to-business cooperation across sectors.
