Kuala Lumpur, March 27 -- Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim arrived in Jakarta on Friday afternoon to hold a bilateral meeting with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, focusing on recent developments in the Middle East.
He was welcomed by Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono.
"I have arrived in Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia, for a meeting with my best friend, President Prabowo Subianto," Anwar said in a statement cited in Kuala Lumpur.
The prime minister said he intends to use the dialogue to exchange perspectives on the increasingly alarming conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States, as well as the risks it poses to both countries and to global and regional stability.
