Jakarta, Sept. 16 -- Acting Head of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Organization at Indonesia's National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Muhammad Najib Azca said post-disaster recovery requires a multidisciplinary approach.

"Post-disaster recovery cannot be reduced to technical and administrative matters. It is a complex social process requiring cross-sector cooperation, multidisciplinary approaches and sensitivity to social, cultural and local contexts," Azca said here Wednesday.

He made the remarks while opening a kickoff meeting of BRIN's Sumatra Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force.
