Jakarta, July 1 -- The National Police (Polri) has set a target of developing 1,500 nutrition fulfillment service units (SPPGs) as kitchens for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program by the end of 2026.

Polri Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said the force has initiated the development of a total of 1,415 SPPGs across Indonesia.

Speaking during the commemoration of Polri's 80th anniversary in Bogor District, West Java, on Wednesday, he said 828 MBG kitchens are already operating, 227 facilities are preparing to begin operations, and 360 others are under construction.

He noted that 33 of the SPPGs are dedicated to serving beneficiaries in underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost regions.
