Karawang, West Java, Sept. 30 -- Police in Karawang City, West Java, are investigating a robbery in which about 1.3 billion rupiah (US$72,200) in cash was stolen from a car carrying foreign nationals in Cikampek, authorities said.

"We have received a police report regarding the incident, and an investigation is underway," Karawang Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head Commissioner Ali Jupri said in Karawang on Tuesday.

The robbery occurred Monday, September 28, on Jalan Raya Dawuan Kalihurip in Cikampek, Karawang District, based on a police report, he said.
